Who we are – We are Jana and Mark, two passionate designers and adventurers. Since March 2018, we are on our biggest journey yet. Together we will travel, work and live wherever our van takes us. Through the elements, above high snowy mountains and through deep muddy valleys. Or as long as we have at least some money left, our love is strong and powerful and until another chance of a different living pops up. We never know what the day may bring but we are ready to tackle this journey together.
Our van Justus – May we introduce our Justus, our home. An old VW LT28 with more experience, mileage and stories than we’ve ever had. He means the world to us. It's a Diesel with 2.4 liter engine and six cylinders. He's strong like a big elephant – that's also how we feel when we drive up the mountain with 10-20 km/h. We put so much effort, time and love into the conversion: in front of our appartment or in the garage of Janas father, near Hamburg. After nearly one year of restoration, inside and outside, he was ready for this big trip. We sweat a lot, cried a bit, slept less and were so happy after everthing went well.
Mark Schulze — In the nature I can relax and find myself. It's nice to smell the fresh air and to see how wonderful the world is. You don't need much to be happy. The most important thing is to broaden one's mind. That's what I like to do and that's why I travel around to explore other countries and get to know new people. There's a lot to discover in me and therefore I chose this journey – this new life.
Jana Evers — You don’t need much to be happy. It’s one of this typical sentences you hear all the time, but yes, I can definitely confirm it. Living in the van showed me which things are really important in my life: and it’s not things – it’s exploring nature, be outside all the time and meet new people and get inspired by them. I am so happy and grateful to live this life, although it is not always easy. And living in a van doesn’t make your life better or more simple. You also have to deal with your problems and cope with daily struggles – but looking outside and watch a beautiful sunset makes you smile immediately again.
